- stuck -

Sometimes, we want to change,

but we don't want to be different.

Sometimes, we want to be different,

but we don't want to change.

Sometimes, we want both,

but we don't know how or can't.

Sometimes, we want neither,

but no one stays the same.

Sometimes, somewhere, somehow

we get stuck in the flow of life,

but life still flows

and does not get stuck in us.

This photo was taken by Inge Castellini. It shows a dragonfly head emerging from a crysalis stuck to a lotusleaf.

Sometimes, we want things to change,

but we don't want things to be different.

Sometimes, we want things to be different,

but we don't want things to change.

Sometimes, we want both,

but they don't know how or can't.

Sometimes, we want neither,

but nothing stays the same.

Sometimes, somewhere, somehow

things get stuck in the flow of life,

but life still flows

and does not get stuck in things.

This photo was taken by Inge Castellini. It shows a dragonfly body emerging from a crysalis stuck to the bottom of a lotusleaf.

Sometimes, we want people to change,

but we don't want people to be different.

Sometimes, we want people to be different,

but we don't want people to change.

Sometimes, we want both,

but they don't want to or can't.

Sometimes, we want neither,

but no one stays the same.

Sometimes, somewhere, somehow

people get stuck in the flow of life,

but life still flows

and does not get stuck in them.

This photo was taken by Inge Castellini. It shows a full dragonfly drying its expanded wings while sitting on top of its crysalis stuck to a lily leaf.
