How do we collect your data?

You directly provide impro studio with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:

Use our website.
Register online, over the phone, or in person for our services.
Pay for our services directly through bank transactions or Paypal.
Participate in our services such as workshops, trainings, and 1-2-1 sessions.
- 1-2-1 sessions may require written notes for smooth follow-up sessions.
- Photographs, screenshots, recordings and videos may be taken during our services, always with explicit consent of all participants involved.
Participate in our Zoom meetings
- Turn your camera on in the main Zoom room.
- Unmute your microphone in the main Zoom room.
- Write into the chat of our Zoom rooms by sharing with hosts and/or everyone in the meeting.
Sign up to our newsletter and/or follow us on social media.
Voluntarily complete a customer survey, comment on our blogs, or provide feedback on any of our message boards, social media or via email.
Contact us through the following channels: website, email, phone, SMS, social media or post.

How will we use your data?

impro studio collects your data so that we can:

use personal identification information to confirm your identity, process your order, manage your booking, billing, send you invoices and receipts, create participation certificates, contact you if necessary.
use personal identification information in order to respond to inquiries from customers and website users, for example about billing charges, payment status, service status.
use personal information volunteered by you to provide you with the best quality continuation of the service you booked.
use personal identification information to send you our newsletter and information about upcoming events and activities we think you may be interested in.
use personal identification information to decline the use of clients who violate the terms of use of our services, such as of payment or causing damage to a third party, or users who try to use the website service for illegal or unjustified purposes. use recordings, screenshots and photographs of our sessions for training purposes, marketing and to enhance our future offer.

Who handles your data:

Your data will only ever be handled by those people for whom it is strictly necessary to have access to certain parts of your data in order to do their job (performance of any contract we enter into with them) for the supply of impro studio products and/or services to you. Those third party people are for example our bookkeeper, webdeveloper, business partners, sub-contractors and volunteers.

Where we have given you, or you have chosen, a password which enables you to access your account or certain parts of our website, you are responsible for keeping the password confidential and must not share it with anyone. You are responsible for any actions carried out using your password except where there has been fraud.

How do we store your data?

Personal information collected by impro studio may be stored and processed in any country in which impro studio is located as well as countries in which third parties have their servers. impro studio stores data on company owned devices and third party software. By using impro studio's services and/or website, you consent to any such transfer of information outside of your country and outside of the EEA.

impro studio uses the online software of the following companies to process and store data:

Wix: impro studio is hosted on the Wix.com platform Wix.com. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications.
Google: impro studio uses several Google services. The information generated for example by using our website, emailing us, and completing our surveys will be transmitted to and stored by Google on their servers.
Microsoft Office: impro studio uses several Microsof Office services. The information generated for example by using our website, emailing us, and completing our surveys will be transmitted to and stored by Microsoft on their servers.
Kees de Boekhouder: impro studio uses the services and software provided by Kees de Boekhouder to process all financial information to comply with Dutch bookkeeping law. This includes invoices, receipts, bank transactions, client contact details and and emails sent through the bookkeeping software. Your data may be stored through Kees de Boekhouder's database.
Eventbrite: impro studio uses the Eventrbite ticketing service. When you sign up to our events, your data will be processed and stored by Eventrbite.
Zoom: impro studio uses the Zoom video conferencing platform for online events. When you log in to Zoom, your contact data may be collected and stored on Zoom's databases. When impro studio records Zoom meetings, these recordings will be processed and stored by Zoom.

Our privacy policy applies only to impro studio. If you are concerned about these third party services, you should read their privacy policy.

impro studio is required by Dutch bookkeeping law to keep your personal identification information for 7 years.

In some circumstances we will anonymise your personal data (so that it can no longer be associated with you) for research or statistical purposes, in which case we may use this information indefinitely without further notice to you.

Recording of sessions

We sometimes record videos of the main Zoom room during our events, workshops, and training courses.

If you unmute your microphone in the main Zoom room, then you give consent to us for recording your voice.
If you turn on your video in the main Zoom room, then you give consent to us for recording your image.
The breakout rooms will not be recorded.
The recordings are for internal use only and will not be shared publicly.
- If we wish to share recordings publicly then we will ask for your consent ahead of recording and also after the session again.
- We do not share any recording that includes your voice and/or image without your prior consent.

Marketing

impro studio would like to send you information about products and services of ours that we think you might like. To do this, we will use the name and e-mail address provided by you.

If you wish to receive our marketing, you can opt in to our newsletter via our website, our social media accounts, or when you sign up to any of our events, workshops, and trainings.

If you wish to sign up to our newsletter, you can do so on our contact page or by scrolling down to the website footer..

If you have agreed to receive marketing from impro studio, you may always opt out at a later date. You have the right at any time to stop impro studio from contacting you for marketing purposes. If you no longer wish to be contacted by us via newsletter, you can use the opt-out link at the bottom of any of our newsletter emails to unsubscribe, or you can let us know by messaging us through our contact form.
